ARIZONA, Grand Canyon

I had to tell myself this is real, because it looked like a picture. The sheer size of it is just breathtaking. You look down and you feel lost in it's depth. We came in a busy time; spring break. Everything was full, camp grounds and hotels. But because Mario installed a solar-panel system on our RV and we purchased a 65-gal water container ( so we can pump water without moving the RV ), we boondocked ( free camping on any public land without access to water, electricity, bathrooms or dump station.  ) in Kaibab National Forest for two weeks.  We were 7 miles from Grand Canyon. The kids had fun in the forest, they could scream, run and practice their bone and arrow shooting. We've never heard so many different languages until we visited the Grand Canyon. We made it to a game to guess what language it may be.

My heart was pounding fast.

One day we had large visitors; elks.

You can see them all over Grand Canyon.
